Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a week at the Dependance, and I found the balance between luxury and value quite striking. As someone who enjoys travel and the outdoors-especially skiing and mountain biking-this hotel appeared promising for a family getaway. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped with air conditioning and flat-screen TVs, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch, along with the free Wi-Fi, which kept the kids entertained when we weren't outdoors. The on-site restaurant offered decent meals, but we often opted for local eateries to experience the surrounding culture. For those who enjoy the water, the infinity pool was a highlight. It provided a stunning view, but I didn't feel compelled to spend every day there. The seasonal outdoor pool was also a great place for our children, who had a blast in the shallow end. At the end of the day, the Dependance offers a host of amenities that blend comfort with accessibility. While there are certainly more opulent options, I found this hotel delivers a solid value for families seeking a blend of luxury and practical pricing.
